We have been very busy machining over the last few weeks meaning we have Briquettes shooting out in every direction! With the weather getting colder please make sure to stock upon briquettes before they sell out!  

We have now fully moved into our new Office/Showroom. We have plenty of our work to show you, as (nearly) everything in the office was manufactured and installed by us. We also have samples of our Aluminium Windows, and Aluminium Canopies and Awnings for you to look at, as well as Show room Sliding Sash and Casement windows.

Awnings are a versatile product that are by no means restricted to residential clients; commercial clients can also benefit from their use. In fact, a commercial awning is not just a great feature; it can be an essential element to the growth of some businesses. Here are some uses that help improve businesses.

The woodburner here in our office at Brynberian has already been fired up to combat the chilly, wet weather. We use our own briquettes which are made from our own manufacturing timber waste. If you would like to order some, contact us at the office via e-mail or telephone.

We are now able to take card payments over the phone and in the office for all orders being placed from now onwards.

We are happy to announce that we have added Aluminium Framed Verandas, Awnings and Carports to our products line!

The structures create perfect veranda canopies for any building. All frames have unlimited lengths and can create cover along the whole length of any building; providing year-round protection enabling customers to enjoy the outdoors – whatever the weather.

Aluminium is a very durable metal, which is also strong and lightweight and is 100% recyclable. It is a very cost effective construction material and is resistant to corrosion in most environments which is useful for us in this area due to our coastal area. It only requires minimal maintenance and will stay in good condition for many years. This material is perfect for all canopy types and is easy to install.

The canopies can also be made to match any RAL colour, and therefore can be matched to exiting colours you may have in your home.

The battle between Wooden winodws and PVCu windows "A briefing on the environmental performance of PVCu vs. wood windows, according to recent research, from the Wood Window Alliance."

We would like to welcome Dafydd, our new apprentice to the Thomas Joinery team! Dafydd is a second year student at Pembrokeshire College, and is currently on the Carpentry and Joinery course. He is here every Wednesday and Thursday, but once college has finished for summer, he will be here Monday to Friday. Dafydd also attended a week's work experience with us in his first year at college in 2016.

Thank you to Pembrokeshire College Year 1 Carpentry Students for visiting us this morning! The students had a tour of the factory, machine demonstrations and demonstrations of day to day tasks that go on here at Thomas Joinery.  We hope you enjoyed your visit and will be back soon!

Wood is going through a renaissance as the product of choice for construction and the use of your products should be an esssential part of the resurgence

As well as adding character cand warmth, studies have proven that timber-based joinery products often last longer, are better value over the long term and have significantly lower environmental impacts than comparable products, for example PVC-u window frames. 

The broader arguments for using timber have become stronger than ever - as well as the benefits of using a naturally renewable material, the latest timber technology means less disruption and faster completiong for houseing developments relative to traditional concrete and steel alternatives. 

With the new housing strategy accepting that our new homes must be built to last for future generations, British woodworking is well placed to meet the challenge.

Yesterday we attended the official opening of Pentre Solar, the first eco "solar hamlet" in Wales. We are extremely proud to say that we supplied the triple glazed windows and doors for the project which offers affordable housing with reduced fuel bills as well as use of an electric car!
